Freezing, the title track of Emily D'Angelo's latest album freezing, has been listed on NPR's Best Songs of 2024 playlist, on which it is featured in the top 25 "Best of the Best." Her sophomore album may surprise traditionalists, though, as it’s packed with pop songs and folk ballads, performed idiomatically with a chestnut-colored voice of uncommon beauty.
